İMG Yapı Yalıtım Mühendislik A.Ş. was founded in 2006 by civil engineer E. Mahmut Gürün as a sole proprietorship and restructured as a joint-stock company in 2015. Over almost 20 years the company has completed more than 1,000 waterproofing projects.
Our expertise spans a wide range of structural waterproofing; over the past decade, however, we have specialised in basement waterproofing and damp-proofing, becoming one of Türkiye's few dedicated specialists in this field. Alongside application work, we also provide waterproofing consultancy to private-sector and public-sector clients.
Civil engineer E. Mahmut Gürün founded İMG as a sole proprietorship, with the aim of bringing an engineering-led approach to waterproofing. The early years were spent combining traditional waterproofing methods with hands-on site experience.
During this period we specialised in no-dig, negative-side (internal) waterproofing and acrylate gel injection. We were among the first companies in Türkiye to apply acrylate gel injection from the negative side. In 2015 we completed our corporate restructuring as İMG Yapı Yalıtım Mühendislik A.Ş.
By bringing together the needs we encountered on site and our own laboratory work, we established the Dryvatec brand. Crystalline waterproofing materials, acrylate gel injection products and original solutions such as the Nem Kutusu damp control unit began to be manufactured under the Dryvatec name.
Over the past five years we have deepened our expertise in basement waterproofing and damp treatment. From our Istanbul and Izmir offices we complete hundreds of projects a year, while also providing independent waterproofing consultancy to private-sector and public-sector clients.
Education and Qualifications: After graduating in civil engineering he also qualified as an occupational safety specialist, combining technical engineering knowledge with a rigorous safety discipline on site.
